Q: Can AA meetings convene with groups of less than 10 and with proper social distancing?
A: Substance use services are considered essential healthcare services under the latest Stay-At-
Home Executive Order 2020-32.Please follow social distancing guidelines https://coronavirus.illinois.gov/s/faqs#a9. Where groups of 10 or less is not feasible, groups like AA may also want to consider utilizing virtual meetings during
this unprecedented public health emergency. If you have questions or concerns about whether
a business is “essential” under the Stay at Home order, please contact the Department of
Commerce and Economic Opportunity’s COVID-19 hotline at 1-800-252-2923 or email

Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA)
Q: Is IDOA going to cancel local county fairs?
A: During the Governor’s Disaster Proclamation, decisions regarding whether large gatherings
and outdoor events can take place will occur in consultation with public health and
epidemiological experts in accordance with the framework described in the Restore Illinois

Q: Is there specific guidance applicable to private lakes and beaches under the extended Stay At
Home Order?
A: There is no special guidance for private lakes and beaches; the same guidance stands for
both private and public lakes and beaches. Please see the link for boating and fishing

Essential Business
Q: Are places such as yoga studios, CrossFit gyms, or Pilates allowed to hold classes? Can they
open if limited to less than 10 persons and maintain distance?
A: Gyms cannot be open at this time. If you have questions or concerns about whether a
business is “essential” under the Stay at Home order, please contact the Department of

Summer Travel
Q: Can people travel to their summer trailer park homes? The trailers are single family park
model trailers. The trailers are permanent like a regular trailer park, with their own electric and
water. They are more than six feet apart and serve as summer homes. Are these parks
permitted to be open under the current lockdown order?
A: The trailer park can remain open, however travelling to a person’s vacation home is
