Q: The Illinois 4-H has moved in-person shows and events through July 5 to an online platform, does that mean local county fairs are also cancelled?
A: Oversight of the Illinois 4-H program is provided by the University of Illinois Extension and not local county fairs.
Q. What role does IDOA have in local county fairs?
A: IDOA provides some funding assistance to local county fairs for such things as premiums for livestock shows and contests. IDOA oversees horse racing at fairs which host horse racing events.
Q: Have any county fairs been cancelled in 2020?
A: As of now, IDOA is aware that the fair boards in Clark County, DuPage County, Jasper County, Macon County, Macoupin County, and Williamson County have chosen to cancel their 2020 fairs.

Q: Are tennis clubs allowed to open under the current Stay at Home Order?
A: Tennis clubs should not be open for business. As a non-essential business, tennis clubs can still maintain limited activities as outlined in Section 2, subsection 13 of Executive Order 32. Minimum Basic Operations at the facility to process payroll/employee benefits, mail, perform inventory assessment, and maintain security at the facility. The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) provides guidance on essential and non-essential businesses.
