During the week of February 21-28, State Senator John Curran (R-Downers Grove) is partnering with the Downers Grove Fish Food Pantry for a winter coat drive.
“Too many children and adults are cold this winter because they do not have a warm winter coat to help protect them from the elements,” said Sen. Curran. “The Downers Grove Fish Pantry said their need is great this year, so I hope we will receive many donations of new or gently-used coats.
Coats can be dropped off at Sen. Curran’s district office from Feb. 21-28 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The office is located at 1011 State Street, Suite 205, in Lemont.
“That coat or jacket that sits in the back of your closet could make a big difference for someone who is struggling to stay warm this winter,” Sen. Curran said. “I hope everyone will take a look at what they can donate to a child or adult in need.”
