Constituents looking for a job or a new career are encouraged to join State Senator John Curran (R-Downers Grove) and House Republican Leader Jim Durkin (R-Western Springs) for their free Employment Readiness Webinar on Tuesday, August 3.
The webinar will be held from 9:00-11:30 a.m. and includes workshops that will assist all job seekers. A question & answer period will also be included in the event. The agenda includes:
- 9:00- Resume and social media branding tips to boost the job search
- 10:00- Tips for a successful virtual interview
- 11:00- Employer introductions
- 11:20- Question and Answer period
“This is about giving job seekers all the resources and tools they need to succeed,” said Leader Durkin. “We are moving onward in our economic recovery; helping those seeking employment be in the best position to successfully join the workforce is the next step and will be the focus of this event.”
As an additional component of the webinar, Weather Tech and CISCO will discuss their employment opportunities and training programs with job seekers.
“As people head back to work, many are exploring new career options,” said Senator Curran. “This webinar will provide a great deal of valuable information, from how to create a standout resume to how to be successful during an interview.”
