LEMONT, IL — Illinois Senate Minority Leader John Curran (R-Downers Grove) is launching his Fourth Annual Valentines for Seniors Card Drive to help provide love and cheer to seniors in the 41st Senate District.
Sen. Curran is asking students, churches, scouting organizations and other community-minded groups to donate homemade or store-bought cards to his office to be delivered to assisted living centers, nursing homes, and long-term care facilities throughout the community.
“Our seniors helped build the amazing community we live in today,” said Sen. Curran. “These cards are just a little way to remind them how much we appreciate and value their lives and contributions.”
Cards, poems, and other well-wishes can be mailed or dropped off to Sen. Curran’s District Office at: 1011 State Street, Suite 205 in Lemont, until February 5, 2024. Those dropping off cards in-person can place them in the valentines box located inside the office door during business hours, which are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., or in the small mailbox outside of the office during off-hours.
“Caring people in our district have donated thousands of cards over the last few years,” said Sen. Curran. “I hope all families and organizations in the district will consider spreading some love and joy to seniors throughout our community.”
