On March 22, State Senators John Curran and Suzy Glowiak Hilton co-hosted a successful virtual event, where constituents could receive information and assistance in signing up for health insurance through the ACA Health Insurance Marketplace. The event was in response to a federal government decision to hold a special enrollment period through May 15 due to COVID-19.
About 40 Illinoisans participated in the online event. Information was presented by representatives of the Illinois Department of Insurance and the Illinois Department of Healthcare & Family Services.
