Illinois Senate Republican Leader John Curran (R-Downers Grove) released the following statement in response to Gov. Pritzker signing the FY27 state budget:
“The budget is a missed opportunity to make structural, positive change for our state. Record spending, supported by $800 million in tax increases, while Illinois families are forced to make cuts in their own households, is not a responsible budget. It does nothing to address the structural deficits that directly result in Illinios being a bottom six state in both economic growth and job opportunities under Gov. Pritzker.”
