As we step into 2025, I want to invite artists from across the 41st State Senate District to participate in our first annual “New Year, New Beginnings” Art Contest. This theme embraces the spirit of renewal, transformation, and the infinite possibilities that come with a new year.
Whether you’re an amateur enthusiast or a seasoned professional, we encourage all district artists to share their talents and perspectives by submitting a piece of work on these themes.
The Grand Prize Winner will receive a $200 gift card to Blick Art Materials and five winners will have their submissions displayed at Pollyanna Brewing in Downtown Lemont from January 21st to January 26th. All winners will be invited to join me for a special reception in their honor, and each participant will receive a certificate of recognition from my office.
All submissions must be dropped off or mailed to my district office located at 1011 State Street, Suite 205, Lemont, IL 60439 by Tuesday, December 31st. Competition winners will be announced on January 15, 2025.
Enclosed in this letter, you will also find a comprehensive set of rules and guidelines for participants and their artwork.
