U.S. EPA Ethylene Oxide Timeline
This week, State Senator John Curran, along with hundreds of 47th District residents, attended an open house and community forum held by the U.S. EPA to discuss the Willowbrook facility Sterigenics and its emission of ethylene oxide.
At the meeting, the U.S. EPA provided attendees with their Ethylene Oxide Timeline for the city of Willowbrook and promised a risk assessment associated with the carcinogen to be provided to the public by February 2019.
The Senator will continue to hold the U.S. EPA, Sterigenics and associated government agencies accountable for their actions and management of this critical public health issue.
