Curran introduces legislation to protect air quality
Today I filed legislation in the Illinois Senate, which is an initiative of the Illinois Environmental Council. Their measure, developed in collaboration with Steve Leopoldo of Darien, would protect our air quality by: denying renewed permits for companies found to be emitting ethylene oxide that exceed state and federal levels; while also working to prohibit the eventual use of ALL ethylene oxide in Illinois by 2022. Similar legislation will also be filed in the Illinois House, and I want to thank everyone involved in endeavor for their continued support.
