Curran spotlights Homer Glen native
State Senator John Curran (R-Downers Grove) is turning the spotlight to a Homer Glen native, Colin Kaminsky, for balancing his responsibilities as a college student while making a name for himself in the world of racing.
Currently in his sophomore year at Trine University and pursuing a degree in business administration, Kaminsky spends his time outside of the classroom on the speedway. Having raced for nearly four years, Kaminsky is currently sponsored by Slick Locks. Kaminsky competes in the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda, ranking tenth in the standings.
Colin has achieved a number of accomplishments since getting behind the wheel, including placing fifth in the 2017 SCCA national championship and fourth at the Road America in the USF2000 series.
“I want to congratulate Colin for continuing to pursue something he is passionate about, balancing both his school work with his love of racing,” said Senator Curran. “He’s making his Homer Glen community proud, and I know this is just the start of the great things he will accomplish, both in the racecar and beyond.”
Senator Curran wishes Colin the best of luck as he continues to pursue his degree and goals on the raceway.
